CheckUp started from a simple worry: what happens if something goes wrong when you're alone, and no one notices in time? Not a dramatic emergency necessarily — just a missed call, a bad fall, a quiet evening that goes on a little too long.
We built CheckUp to close that gap, without asking anyone to carry a panic button or install something intrusive. It's just a simple check-in, on your own schedule. If you miss one, the people you've chosen find out — automatically, quickly, and with clear next steps.
Most missed check-ins turn out to be nothing — a phone left in another room, a busy morning. But every so often, they aren't. If your guardians genuinely can't reach you, and enough time passes without word, CheckUp doesn't just quietly close the loop. It treats that moment with the seriousness it deserves.
Your guardians can confirm what's happened, and a short waiting period protects against any mistake before anything is final. It's the same instinct behind the whole app: someone who cares about you should never have to wonder for long.

It's a private place to write to the people who matter most to you — reassurance, instructions, the things you never quite got around to saying — and know those words reach them, on your terms, exactly when they'd need them. No one can read it while you're here. We hope you never need it. But if you live alone, or spend real time out of easy reach of the people who love you, we think it's worth having.
CheckUp runs entirely on infrastructure we control, rather than routing your data through third-party platforms wherever we can avoid it. We built it this way deliberately: this app exists to protect people, and that starts with taking their data seriously.
CheckUp is under active development. We're currently focused on making the web app as solid and trustworthy as possible, with dedicated iOS and Android apps on the way.
